Although this site is visually kid-friendly, choc full of facts, and has a really easy to use Reference Center, it does have a lot of ad clutter that can be quite distracting.  It is still a worthwhile site; the homework center, timeline and current event sections are very helpful.

This site has EVERYTHING a kid wants and needs: homework help, games, and many, many, many online reference sources on just about every possible subject.  There are also resources for teachers and parents.

A kid-friendly way for kids to search online. Kids can ask questions and perform web searches, such as “When did Hawaii become a state?” or “What’s it like to live in space?” or even “Convert 122 inches into feet” in the same way they would ask a parent, friend or teacher.
